Social responsibility

At assiso we believe that there is much more to business than just the financial aspects. We take a more holistic approach and believe that our wider contibution to society is important.

Directors' Statement

We recognise that as a corporate entity we have a duty to operate in a socially, morally and environmentally responsible manner.

We accept that our day-to-day activities will have positive and negative impacts on the environment and our community.  As a company we undertake to work towards improving the positive impacts and minimising the negative impacts, and encourage our staff to act in a similar manner, both at work and domestically.

In particular we will:

• comply with all prevailing environmental legislation and local authority requirements
• manage and seek to minimise our use of energy and consumables
• motivate and educate our staff to conduct their activities in an environmentally friendly, socially and morally responsible manner
• continuously review our CSR policy and involve our staff in its evolution
• support staff in their voluntary activities through provision of time off, assistance and matched giving, to a reasonable degree.

To achieve this we will:

• include CSR on the agenda at all company meetings
• conduct assessments at least annually in terms of our progress and share this with our staff.
